INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS

Clock hours / contact hours One contact hour, for purpose of calculating CEUs, is equal to one clock hour. One clock hour is equal to 60 minutes. Completion of any certificate program or individual course is measured in terms of contact hours between the student and the instructor. Individual courses may be of varying length, with 0.1 CEU being awarded for each contact hour. Certificate programs are of two types: Certificate and Advanced Certificate. Students must complete 6 CEUs of coursework to obtain a certificate, and 12 CEUs of coursework to receive an advanced certificate. Four CEUs in the case of a certificate, and six CEUs in the case of an advanced certificate, may be obtained through successful completion of comprehensive faculty approved and guided projects.
